| Veneer Replacement |
|
Cherry veneer aboard this sailing yacht, which had just crossed the Atlantic Ocean from Europe, was damaged due to leaking ports. The amount to replace was not much but the area, above a tall counter and around slanting ports made this job particularly difficult for achieving a nice, smooth finished product. I applied a thin, substrate material before the new veneer to fair the surfaces and to provide an excellent bonding layer. As a final touch, I polished the aluminum trim on a buffer wheel before re-installing it.
